The Community of Practice on Quality Individualized Supports

The Community of Practice on Quality Individualized Supports is for everyone interested in and committed to assuring individually designed and implemented, responsive community supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This learning community will meet the needs of people working to offer quality community supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, of family members of people with disabilities, and of people with these disabilities themselves. The Community of Practice on Individualized Supports invites the broad participation of people who are involved in or promoting the move toward flexible, responsive supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the United States and the world. The Community of Practice on Quality Individualized Supports provides opportunities for conversation, support, problem solving and the sharing of information and serves as a fundamental catalyst toward understanding and achieving the complex shift away from institutional and congregate models of support and toward individualized supports.
